Torrie Lewis - St Mary’s Catholic College, Gateshead

Athletics - 200m & 4x100m Relay


Former St Mary's Catholic College student Torrie Lewis is set to represent Australia at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Torrie began her full-time athletics journey at 11 years, winning State and National titles by age 13. Her early years at St Mary's Catholic College, Gateshead, laid the foundation for her athletic career, which she further developed after moving to Brisbane. In 2024, Torrie was part of the women's 4 x 100m relay team that set a new national record with a time of 42.94 seconds at the Sydney Track Classic. Additionally, she broke the national record in the women’s 100m with a time of 11.10 seconds at the ACT Championships in Canberra. Her performance at the 2024 World Relays Championships in Nassau, Bahamas, secured her qualification for the Paris Olympics. As Torrie prepares for the Paris Olympics, her journey from St Mary's Catholic College to the global stage serves as an inspiration to many.

The entire Maitland/Newcastle community, along with supporters from CSNSW, will be cheering her on.

Christopher Ius - St Mary’s Primary, Concord

Athletics - 4x100m Relay


Former St Mary's Primary School, Concord student, Christopher Ius is set to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympic games as his debut. Christopher will be competing in the Athletics in the Mens 4x100m relay. Along with his teammates Rohan Browning, Caleb Law, Joshua Azzopardi, Jacob Despard, Sebastian Sultana and Lachlan Kennedy. 

Christophers achievements during his schooling years have paved the way for his Olympic journey. The CSNSW looks forward to watching him compete at his debut in Paris 2024.

Sebastian Sultana - St John XXIII Catholic College, Stanhope Gardens

Athletics - 4x100m Relay


Sebastian Sultana, a former student of St John XXIII Catholic College in Stanhope Gardens, is set to compete his Olympic debut at the Paris 2024 Olympics.
In 2022, Sebastian set an Australian under-18 record in the 100m with a time of 10.27 seconds and won the 200m at the NSW Junior Championships in March. At the World Relays in the Bahamas, he finished second behind South Africa with a time of 38.46 seconds, securing his qualification for the Paris Olympics.

Sebastian's achievements during his schooling years have paved the way for his Olympic journey. The Stanhope Gardens community and supporters across Australia will be cheering him on as he competes in his debut in Paris for the 2024 Olympic Games.

Josh Azzopardi - St Gregory's College, Gregory Hills

Athletics - 100m & 4x100m Relay


Josh Azzopardi, a former student of St Gregory's College in Gregory Hills, is set to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Initially excelling in both oztag and sprinting, Josh shifted his focus to athletics at age 17.
In 2021, he became a national champion by winning the men’s 200 meters at the Sydney Track Classic. He also finished second behind South Africa in the World Relays in the Bahamas with a time of 38.46 seconds. These achievements have secured his place in the relay team for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The Gregory Hills community and supporters across Australia will be cheering for Josh as he competes in Paris in his Olympic debut.

Kristie Edwards - Sacred Heart, Mona Vale

Athletics - 4x100m Relay

 Kristie Edwards, a former student of Sacred Heart, Mona Vale, showed early talent in athletics, placing third at the NSW State PSSA Championships at age eight. She joined Little Athletics at Manly Warringah and won the National All Schools 200m by age 13. Throughout her teenage years, she consistently improved in the 100m and 200m events, earning numerous national medals.

In 2018, Kristie debuted internationally at the World U20 Championships. By 2021, after moving to Brisbane, she had improved her times to 11.55 in the 100m and 23.17 in the 200m. She continued to excel in 2023, setting a personal best of 11.44 in the 100m and competing in the World University Games and World Championships.

Kristie’s Australian team senior debut at the World University Games in China saw her place fifth in the 200m final. She regularly competed on the national 4x100m relay team, with notable performances in the Diamond League. During the 2024 domestic season, she lowered her 100m PB to 11.28 and ran on a national relay team clocking a quick 43.45. Kristie is now set to compete in the 4x100m relay at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Rose Davies - Holy Family Merewether Beach (Primary), St Pius, Adamstown (7-10) & St Francis Xavier’s, Hamilton

Athletics - 5000m


Rose Davies, a former student of Holy Family Merewether Beach (Primary), St Pius Adamstown (Years 7-10), and St Francis Xavier’s Hamilton, is set to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics in Athletics. Rose began her running career at age 12 and became a national champion by age 14 with times of 2:08 in the 800m and 4:27 in the 1500m. In 2020, she ran a 32:02 road 10km, and in 2021, she won the Zatopek with a time of 31:39.97 and set an Olympic qualifier of 15:08.48 in the 5000m. At the Tokyo Olympics, she placed 18th in the 5000m heat.In 2022, she set personal bests in the 3000m, 5000m, and 10,000m, defended her National 10,000m title, and set a PB of 31:18.54 in California, making her the fourth fastest Australian in history. She also competed in the World Championships and the Commonwealth Games.

In 2023, Rose finished 23rd in the World Athletics Cross Country Championships in Bathurst and was second in the National 3000m and 5000m titles. She also set a 3000m PB of 8:44.07 in Japan.
Her form continued into 2024, with a 3000m PB of 8:39.81, winning her first national title in the open 5000m, and breaking her 5000m PB three times, with the latest being a national record of 14:41.65.

Elizabeth Clay - Our Lady of Rosary, Waitara (Primary) & Loreto, Normanhurst (Secondary)

Athletics - 100m Hurdles


Elizabeth Clay, a former student of Our Lady of Rosary Waitara (Primary) and Loreto Normanhurst (Secondary), is set to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics. Elizabeth's athletic journey began at Hornsby Little Athletics in the under 10s.
Her breakthrough came in the 2019/2020 season with a personal best of 13.26 in the 100m hurdles, followed by 12.94 in Melbourne, making her the fourth-fastest in Australian history. In the 2020/2021 season, she improved to 12.84 and 12.72, becoming the second-fastest in Australian history. At the Tokyo Olympics, she finished third in her semi-final with a personal best of 12.71. In 2022, Elizabeth reached the semi-finals of the 60m hurdles at the World Indoors and defended her National title with a time of 12.72. Despite an injury mid-year at the World Championships in Eugene, requiring surgeries and rehabilitation, she returned to competition in mid-2023. By early 2024, Elizabeth was back in form, running sub-13 seconds at the Queensland Championships and Sydney Track Classic, finishing second at Nationals, and claiming the Oceania title in June in Suva. Her resilience and achievements have paved her way to the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Nicola Olyslagers (McDermott) - St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School, Woy Woy

Athletics - High Jump


Former student of St John the Baptist Catholic Primary School Woy Woy, Nicola Olyslagers (nee McDermott) discovered her passion for high jump at age seven. In 2018, she medaled at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, and in 2019, she increased her personal best to 1.96m, moving to equal third in Australian history. In 2020, Nicola consistently cleared 1.90m in European competitions, setting a personal best of 1.98m. In 2021, she became the first Australian woman to clear 2.00m and set a new Australian record with a 2.01m jump in Stockholm. At the Tokyo Olympics, she earned a silver medal with a 2.02m clearance. Post-Tokyo, Nicola faced challenges, including a torn muscle at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, but she returned to place third in Brussels and the Diamond League final. In 2023, she achieved nine wins from 10 starts and set an Australian record of 2.03m.

Continuing her outstanding form in 2024, Nicola set an Australian allcomers record of 2.03m in Canberra, won the World Indoor Championships in Glasgow, and claimed her fifth Australian title with a 2.01m clearance. She is now set to compete in her second Olympics at Paris 2024.

Nicholas Kay - St Edwards Primary, Tamworth & McCarthy Catholic College, Tamworth

Basketball


Nicholas Kay, a former student of St Edward's Primary Tamworth and McCarthy Catholic College, is set to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics as part of the Australian Boomers basketball team. During his school years, he represented the Armidale Diocesan Primary Sport Council and Polding Team in Basketball, competing at the NSWPSSA Basketball Championships. After high school, Nick moved to the US to play basketball at Metropolitan State University in Denver, Colorado, where he became one of the top players in Roadrunners history. In 2016, he joined the Illawarra Hawks, and in 2018, he moved to the Perth Wildcats, winning an NBL title in 2019. He was also part of the 2018 Commonwealth Games gold-medal-winning team. In 2020, Nick signed with Spanish team Real Betis. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, Nick and the Boomers won Australia’s first men's basketball Olympic medal, securing bronze by defeating Slovenia. He played all six games, averaging 11 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.2 steals per game. Nick then joined the Japanese team Shimane Susanoo Magic, where he currently averages 16.8 points, 9 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. He was in the starting five for the Boomers at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, helping secure a berth at the Paris Olympics.

Emma Nedov - Brigidine College, St Ives

Gymnastics


Emma Nedov, an alumna of Brigidine College, St Ives, is set to compete in her first Olympics at Paris 2024. Emma began her gymnastics journey at the age of 5 and has since represented Australia on numerous international stages. Throughout her career, Emma has demonstrated exceptional dedication and skill, earning her a place among Australia's top gymnasts. Her journey to the Paris Olympics is a testament to her hard work and perseverance. In addition to her gymnastics career, Emma is a sports nutritionist and health coach. She is also a co-founder of the accessories company Artium Sport, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to promoting health and wellness.

Blake Govers - St Joseph's Catholic High School, Albion Park

Hockey





Blake Govers, a former student of St Joseph's Catholic High School, Albion Park, is set to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics as a key member of the Australian men's hockey team, the Kookaburras. Blake's journey in hockey began during his school years, where he represented both NSWCPS and NSWCCC Hockey teams, showcasing his talent early on. After finishing school, Blake quickly advanced to the National Development squad and made his international debut in May 2015 at the Hobart International Challenge, where he scored a goal. His rapid rise in the sport saw him become the youngest member of the men's hockey squad at the Rio 2016 Olympics at just 18 years old. Blake continued to excel on the international stage, competing in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and winning a silver medal with the Kookaburras. With an impressive record of 85 goals in 98 matches, Blake's skill and dedication have made him a standout player.

As he prepares for the Paris 2024 Olympics, Blake Govers' journey from St Joseph's Catholic High School to the global arena is a testament to his hard work and exceptional talent. Blake will compete in his 3rd Olympic games in Paris 2024.

Grace Young, a former student of St Patrick’s College, Sutherland, is set to make her Olympic debut at the Paris 2024 Olympics as a member of the Australian women's hockey team, the Hockeyroos. Grace's journey to the Olympics is a remarkable story of dedication and rapid progression in her sport. In 2023, Grace joined the Hockeyroos and played a pivotal role in the team’s performance at the FIH Junior Women’s World Cup in Chile, where they secured a commendable fifth-place finish. Her impressive skills and contributions to the team have quickly established her as a rising star in Australian hockey. At just 21 years old, Grace's selection for the Paris 2024 Olympics marks a significant milestone in her career. Her journey from St Patrick’s College, Sutherland, to the world stage of the Olympics is a testament to her hard work and commitment to excellence.

Matthew Dawson - Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School, The Entrance & St Edwards College, Gosford

Matthew Dawson, an alum of Our Lady of the Rosary Primary School, The Entrance, and St Edward’s College, Gosford, is preparing to compete in his third Olympics at Paris 2024 as a key member of the Australian men’s hockey team, the Kookaburras.

Matthew began his hockey journey at the age of 8 and quickly excelled, competing in the Polding team and captaining the NSWPSSA State Hockey Team in 2006. His early talent and leadership were clear indicators of the successful career that lay ahead.

In 2014, Matthew made his debut for the Australian national team, swiftly advancing to compete in the Rio 2016 Olympics. His performance at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics was particularly noteworthy, as he played a crucial role in the Kookaburras' journey to a silver medal, contributing significantly to their undefeated group stage run and their path to the final.


The Kookaburras continued their success with Matthew as a key player, winning gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham and competing strongly in the 2023 Hockey World Cup and Pro League series. Now, with the team having qualified for Paris 2024, Matthew is set for another opportunity to showcase his skills on the world stage. In addition to his international achievements, Matthew also plays for the NSW Pride in the Hockey One league, further demonstrating his commitment and contribution to the sport.

Jack hargreaves - St Josephs, Nyngan & St Josephs College, Hunters Hill

Rowing - Men's Eight


Jack Hargreaves, a former student of St Joseph's, Nyngan, is set to compete in the Paris 2024 Olympics in the Men's Eight rowing event. Jack's journey to this point has been one of resilience and remarkable achievements.

Initially excluded from the Olympics five years ago, Jack made a strong comeback by winning top honors at the 2017 and 2018 World Rowing Championships, marking the first Australian victory in the boating class in 26 years. His crew continued their success with gold at the 2019 World Rowing Cups 2 and 3. Under the guidance of coach Ian Wright, Jack has honed his skills at the Reinhold Batschi National Training Centre. He made his Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020, securing gold in the Men's Rowing Four event during the historic 'hour of power' for Australian rowing.


Jack remained a key member of the successful men's four team in 2022 and 2023, winning one gold and four silver medals in six events. In 2024, he joined the men's eight team with fellow Tokyo gold medallists Alexander Purnell and Spencer Turrin, aiming for Australia’s first gold in the event. At the World Rowing Cup II, the new crew, including Jack, finished fourth in the men's eight final.

Rowena Meredith - Stella Maris College, Manly

Rowing - Women's Quadruple Sculls


Rowena Meredith, an alumna of Stella Maris College, Manly, is set to compete in the Paris 2024 Olympics in the Women's Quadruple Sculls. Rowena's journey in rowing began with a promising start at the 2015 U23 World Championships, where she won silver, followed by another silver at the 2017 U23 World Championships. Her international career gained further momentum at the 2021 Final Olympic Qualification Regatta, where Rowena, alongside teammates Harriet Hudson, Caitlin Cronin, and Ria Thompson, secured gold, ensuring their participation in Tokyo 2020. Making her Olympic debut in Tokyo, Rowena and her crew won bronze in the women's quadruple sculls, marking a historic moment for Australian rowing. Rowena continued her success by joining the Australian sculling squad for the 2022 international season and competing in various championships, finishing sixth in the quad scull at the World Rowing Championships that year. In 2023, Rowena, along with Hudson, Thompson, and Cronin, secured their spot for the Paris 2024 Olympics at the World Rowing Championships in Belgrade, Serbia, overcoming challenges and changes in crew members.

Tara Rigney - Loreto Kiribilli

Rowing - Women’s single sculls


Tara Rigney, a former student of Loreto Kirribilli, is poised to compete in her second Olympics at Paris 2024, transitioning from a promising netball career to becoming one of Australia’s top rowers. Tara initially excelled in netball, being selected for the U19 state team in 2016 and 2017. However, after two severe ACL injuries, she shifted her focus to rowing, where she quickly found her stride and passion. Her perseverance and dedication paid off, leading to her Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, where she placed 7th in Women’s Single Sculls. This marked the beginning of an impressive rowing career on the international stage.

As she prepares for Paris 2024, Tara’s journey from Loreto Kirribilli to the Olympic arena serves as an inspiration. Her determination and resilience have been key to her success, and the entire Loreto community, along with supporters across Australia, will be cheering her on as she aims for Olympic glory in Paris.

Dietrich Roache - Patrician Brothers Fairfield

Rugby Sevens


Dietrich Roache, a former student of Patrician Brothers' Fairfield, is set to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics, marking a significant milestone in his impressive rugby career. Dietrich transitioned from rugby league to rugby union and sevens at the age of 15, showcasing his versatility and talent early on. He played for the Sydney U18s, NSW Junior U18s, and the NSW Rugby 'Gen Blue' Program, which paved the way for his rugby career. In 2019, Dietrich joined the Australian Sevens team for the World School Sevens Tournament in New Zealand, and in 2020, he signed with the Australian Men’s Sevens team. Dietrich made his Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Games, where he scored a try against South Korea and helped Australia finish 7th. His performance solidified his place in the team, and he continued to excel, becoming a key player in the 2021-22 Rugby Sevens World Series. During this series, he scored the most points in the squad, leading Australia to their first series win. He also led the team in points at the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games. Heading into the Paris 2024 Olympics, Dietrich remains a standout player in the SVNS World Series and has also demonstrated his skills in 15-a-side rugby, playing for the Western Sydney Two Blues in the 2023 Shute Shield.

Bridget played a crucial role in this achievement, showcasing her talent and contributing significantly to the team’s success. Bridget's rise in Rugby Sevens has been marked by her outstanding performances and unwavering commitment. Her journey from the halls of Santa Sabina College to the global stage of the Olympics serves as an inspiration to many young athletes.

Corey Toole, a former student of Mater Dei College in Wagga Wagga, is set to make his Olympic debut at the Paris 2024 Olympics in Rugby Sevens. Mark Nawaqanitawase - St Josephs Primary, Enfield

Rugby Sevens


Mark Nawaqanitawase, a former student of St Joseph's Primary, Enfield, is competing in the Paris 2024 Olympics as a member of the Australian Rugby Sevens team. Mark, who transitioned from rugby league to rugby union at age 14, has shown remarkable talent and dedication throughout his career. Born and raised in Burwood, New South Wales, Mark played junior rugby league before switching to rugby union. He played schoolboy rugby for St Patrick's College, Strathfield and began his senior career with Eastwood RFC in the Shute Shield competition. In 2020, Mark made his debut for the NSW Waratahs and was selected for the Junior Wallabies. His breakout year came in 2022 when he joined the Wallabies squad, shining in Super Rugby Pacific and making his international debut against Italy. In 2023, Mark joined the Australian Sevens team, playing in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, where Australia finished fourth. His power running and aerial skills have made him a standout player, earning him a place in the squad for Paris 2024. Mark's contribution will be crucial as they aim for their first Olympic medal.

Joshua Bell - Good Shepherd Catholic Primary, Hoxton Park

Clay Shooting - Men's Skeet

 Joshua Bell, a former student of Good Shepherd Catholic Primary, Hoxton Park, grew up in Camden and took up skeet shooting to bond with his father. He caught the attention of the clay target shooting world by winning B grade at the 2011 NSW Skeet Carnival. Balancing his career as a plumber with his passion for shooting, Joshua made his first world championship team in 2023.

In 2023, he secured a spot at the Paris 2024 Olympics after consistent performances on the World Cup circuit. At the 2023 Oceania Championships, he won silver in men's skeet and gold in the men's skeet team event. In May 2024, Joshua and Aislin Jones won bronze in the mixed skeet team at the World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan, marking Australia’s first medal in a skeet team event at an ISSF World Cup.

Joshua aims to make a significant impact both on and off the field. He is now set to compete in men's skeet shooting at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

At just 15 years old, Abbey broke a 200m butterfly age record in 2021, showcasing her potential as a rising star in Australian swimming. Her impressive performance earned her a spot at the World Junior Open Water Championships the following year. While still completing her schooling, Abbey made her debut at the 2022 World Championships in Hungary, where she achieved a personal best in the 200m butterfly final. Despite her busy international competition schedule, she returned to Australia to complete Year 12 at OLMC Parramatta. In June 2024, Abbey finished second in the 200m butterfly at the Australian Trials, securing her qualification for the Paris Olympics. Her journey from breaking age records to competing on the world stage is a remarkable achievement, demonstrating her hard work and perseverance.

Olivia Wunsch, a student of Holy Spirit Primary, North Ryde and Mount St Benedict College, Pennant Hills, is set to compete in the Paris 2024 Olympics as a relay swimmer. Olivia's journey in swimming began at age 8 when she started competing in NSW state competitions, showing early promise in the sport. In 2017, Olivia's talent was on full display as she claimed several national titles in freestyle and butterfly at the Pacific School Games in Adelaide. Her success continued at the Australian Olympic trials in Brisbane, where she achieved personal bests in the 100m butterfly, 200m freestyle, and 100m freestyle, finishing 7th in the final. Olivia, now 17, has been recognized for her achievements and potential with a 2024 Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship. Her performance at the Olympic trials, particularly in the 100m freestyle, secured her place on the Paris relay team.

Se-Bom Lee - St Martha’s Catholic Primary School

Se-Bom Lee, a former student of St Martha’s Catholic Primary School, is set to compete in his second Olympics at the Paris 2024 Games. Se-Bom made his Olympic debut at the 2020 Tokyo Games, where he reached the final of the 200m backstroke and competed in the 400m individual medley. At the 2024 Australian Championships on the Gold Coast, Se-Bom won bronze in the 200m medley, showcasing his continued excellence in the pool. His impressive performance at the Olympic trials in June secured his place on the Australian team for Paris, finishing second in the 200m backstroke with a time of 1:57.02. In addition to his athletic achievements, Se-Bom is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Medical Science at the University of Technology, Sydney. Balancing the demands of competitive swimming with his academic commitments, he has demonstrated remarkable dedication and discipline.

Kieran Woolley, a former student of Corpus Christi Catholic High School in the Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong, is set to make his 2nd Olympic games in skateboarding at the Paris 2024 Olympics at just 17 years old. Kieran began skateboarding at the age of 10 and quickly rose to national prominence while attending Corpus Christi College, Oak Flats. He won several competitions and was named Illawarra's 2018 Athlete of the Year. Kieran first captured international attention at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, where he posted the second-highest qualifying score and finished fifth in the final. One of the most memorable moments from his Tokyo appearance was his sportsmanlike gesture when he collided with a cameraman, checking on him and offering a fist bump. In 2022, Kieran continued to excel, winning a silver medal in the park event at the X Games Chiba in Japan and a gold medal at the X Games in California. He also received a Tier 3 scholarship from the Sport Australia Hall of Fame Scholarship and Mentoring Program. At the World Park Skateboarding Championships in Sharjah, Kieran finished fourth, further solidifying his status as one of the top skateboarders in the world. Despite facing injuries in 2023, Kieran demonstrated resilience by securing a fourth-place finish at an Olympic qualifying event in Shanghai in May 2024. Now, he is set to represent Australia in skateboarding at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Ellen made her Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020, competing in the women's doubles alongside Sam Stosur, where they reached the quarter-finals. Her performance at the Olympics was a significant milestone in her career, showcasing her talent on the global stage. Ellen has also competed in three Singles Grand Slam events and achieved a career-best result by finishing second in the women's doubles at the 2022 US Open. Additionally, she was a key member of the Australian team that finished second at the 2022 Billie Jean King Cup Finals. In 2023, Ellen reached the Top 10 in doubles rankings and finished runner-up at the WTA Finals.

Bronte Halligan - Stella Maris College, Manly

Bronte Halligan, a graduate of Stella Maris College, Manly (Class of 2014), is gearing up to compete at the Paris 2024 Olympics with the Australian women’s water polo team, the Aussie Stingers. Bronte’s journey in water polo began during her time at the Diocese of Broken Bay, where she led her team to first place in the under-16 nationals and was voted MVP. At 17, Bronte made her debut with the Aussie Stingers in 2014. After high school, she advanced her water polo career and academics at UCLA, where she had standout seasons with the Bruins, scoring 25 goals in 2017, 31 in 2018, and 34 in 2019. Bronte’s international career saw her winning a bronze medal with the Stingers at the 2019 FINA World Championships. She made her Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020, where she scored all three of Australia’s goals in their opening match against Canada and added two more in the quarter-finals against ROC, helping the team finish fifth overall. Following the Tokyo Olympics, Bronte moved to Italy to play professionally for Ekipe Orrizonte, winning the Italian league title in 2022. She continued to shine on the international stage, being part of the Stingers' leadership group at the 2023 World Aquatic Championships in Fukuoka, where Australia finished fourth, and at the 2024 World Championships in Doha, where Australia finished sixth. As she prepares for the Paris 2024 Olympics, Bronte continues to pursue team success with the Stingers. Outside of water polo, she works as a strategy lead at Cerebral Palsy Australia and studied psychology and disability studies at UCLA.

Her remarkable performance showcased her potential on the international stage. In 2017, Sarah competed at the World Para-Athletics Championships, improving her position to fourth place. Her determination and skill were further highlighted in November 2019 at the World Championships in Dubai, where she achieved a massive leap of 5.20m, earning her a third-place finish on the podium.

Holly Warn, a 15-year-old former student of Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, Mosman, is set to compete in the Paris 2024 Paralympics. Holly secured her spot on the team by placing third in the 400m freestyle in the S7 class at the Paralympic Trials.At the 2024 Australian Age Championships, Holly won four gold medals in the 100m and 50m backstroke, and the 400m and 100m freestyle events, as well as a silver in the 50m freestyle, all in her S7 division. Diagnosed with cerebral palsy at four months old, Holly defied the odds by starting to swim at a young age and breaking records by age 8. She was the youngest swimmer to trial for the Paralympics at 12 years old. Inspired by Paralympian Maddison Elliott, Holly has always dreamed of representing Australia. Holly’s journey is marked by resilience and dedication. Now based on the Gold Coast, she continues to train and compete at the highest levels. With her eyes also set on the Los Angeles 2028 and Brisbane 2032 Games, Holly's story is just beginning.

Timothy Hodge - St Bernadette's Lalor Park & Patrician Brothers, Blacktown

Timothy Hodge, an alumnus of St Bernadette’s Lalor Park and Patrician Brothers College Blacktown, is set to compete in the Paris 2024 Paralympics. A multiple NSWCCC Multiclass Age Champion and recipient of the 2018 NSWCCC Blue Award, Timothy's swimming career has been marked by early and ongoing success. Timothy began competing internationally at 14, representing Australia at the 2015 IPC Swimming World Championships in Glasgow. He made his Paralympic debut at Rio 2016 and secured silver medals in the 100m breaststroke SB8 and 100m backstroke S9 at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. In Tokyo 2020, Timothy won his first Paralympic medals, including silver in the 200m individual medley SM9 and bronze in the men’s 4x100m medley relay. He also set a personal best in the 100m backstroke S9.

As he prepares for Paris 2024, Timothy continues to demonstrate his dedication and talent. Paige Leonhardt - St Joseph's Regional College Port Macquarie

Para-Swimming


Paige Leonhardt, a former student of St Joseph's Regional College in Port Macquarie, is set to compete in the Paris 2024 Paralympics. Her journey to the Paralympics began at age 12 during therapy following a severe car accident at age five, which left her with hemiplegia, intracranial hypertension, epilepsy, and autism. Paige started competing through school and Polding with able-bodied athletes. By 14, she had won a bronze medal in the open multi-class 50m breaststroke at the Australian Championships and gold in both the 50m and 100m breaststroke at the Australian Age Championships. In 2015, she won additional medals at the Australian Open and Age Championships and made her Paralympic debut at the Rio 2016 Games, finishing sixth in both the 100m butterfly and 100m breaststroke. At the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics, she won silver in the women’s 100m butterfly S14.

Paige, coached by Michael Mullins, continues to excel in swimming. As she prepares for the Paris 2024 Paralympics, the community of St Joseph's Regional College and supporters across Australia will be cheering her on.
