NSW All Schools Secondary Triathlon Championships - Individual Event

Eligibility

JUNIOR - Born on or before 31st December 2012, 2013, 2014.

INTERMEDIATE - Born on or before 31st December 2010, 2011.

SENIOR - Born on or before 31st December 2007, 2008, 2009.

MULTICLASS - To be eligible for the 2026 multiclass triathlon event, athletes must:

  • Be able complete a 300m swim, 5km bike and 1.2km run unassisted.
    • Athletes may be assisted in transition, for both the swim to bike transition and the 
      bike to run transition.
    • Athletes who require a guide will also be considered for entry.
  • Have a classification for triathlon or a classification for swimming or athletics with 
    endorsement from a coach (or similar) that the athlete will be able to complete the 
    aforementioned triathlon distances.
  • To be considered for selection on the NSW All Schools team to attend the School Sport 
    Australia Triathlon Championship, competitors must complete each leg of 
    the course and the overall course within the allocated time limits. Cutoff times are as per the below:
    • Swim leg (300m) – 10 minutes.
    • Bike leg (5km) – 15 minutes.
    • Run leg (1.2km) – 11minutes.
    • Overall – 36 minutes.

  • Water bottles.

Registration

Registration for the individual events will open at 7am on Wednesday 25 February. Please allow time (approximately 10-15 minutes) to walk from the carpark around the lake to get to registration.

All registrations must be completed by 8:00am, as the course will be closed after this time.

 Registration/Entry

Team entries are to be completed by your school sport coordinator via the Catholic Schools NSW Sports Portal.

This Staff member must have a CSNSW Sport Staff Account and be endorsed by the school to approve.

 Relays
  • Each team must comprise three athletes – one swimmer, one cyclist and one runner.
  • Mixed teams are to compete in male division and the oldest age group category of the team.
  • Relay teams must have three competitors from the same school.

 

Team Limits 

There will be caps placed on all age groups and divisions across all systems. As a result, each individual school is only permitted to enter a maximum of 5 teams per age division and gender e.g. 5x Intermediate Boys & 5x Intermediate Girls.
Extra nominations will be considered after the closing date however this will be at the discretion of the organising committee. Please contact the Convenor for further details.

If you wish to withdraw any entries please email sport@csnsw.catholic.edu.au.

No refunds will be processed for teams withdrawn after the closing date. Schools will be invoiced after the event.

School Team Official Responsibilities

All schools entering a team or individual MUST have a School endorsed adult representative present for the entire day who will have full supervision rights of all their students. Race packs will not be distributed unless it is collected by the endorsed school representative on registration prior to the commencement of the day. I.e. must complete sign on sheet correctly. The representative will be required to leave their contact details with officials when collecting race packs.
