Eligibility - Students must meet all of the following criteria

Polding does not hold diving selections for team selection.

DOB:  1/1/2011 - 31/12/2016

Years: 2 - 6

Venue

SOPAC - Olympic Boulevarde, Sydney Olympic Park

Time

8:30am - 4:00pm 

Diving Requirement - 

Springboard

Dives may be performed from either the 1m and/or the 3m springboard.

8 and 9 Years boysandgirls           3dives

• 1dive @ 1.5 degree of difficulty or less
• 2 dives with no limit on degree of difficulty

10 and 11 Years boysandgirls         4dives

• 2 dives @ 3.6 degree of difficulty or less
• 2 dives from 2 groups with no limit on degree of difficulty

12/13 Years boysandgirls    5 dives

3 dives from 3 groups @ 5.4 degree of difficulty or less

2 dives from 2 groups with no limit on degree of difficulty

Platform

Open Primary boys andgirls         4dives

• 2 dives @ 3.6 degree of difficulty limit
• 2 dives with no limit on degree of difficulty

Dives may be performed from 5m platform only.

What to Bring

• Own Strapping tape
• Water bottle
• Lunch
• Medication eg Asthma inhaler
• Appropriate gear for competition

A NSWPSSA team will be selected to attend the School Sport Australia Diving Championships.

Rules and Guidelines

NSW Department of Education Sport Safety Guidelines - Diving

Students born 2014 - 2009 with diving experience may nominate for selection in the Polding Dive Team to compete at the 2022 NSWPSSA Diving Championships. 

3 students per division for will be selected based on experience, achievement and coach's recommendations in their nomination.

Successful students will be notified via email and progressed through the system on the website.

Divisions

Springboard: 8 Years, 9 Years, 10 Years, 11 Years, 12/13 Years - Girls & Boys

Platform: Open Girls & Open Boys

Program of Events 

The format of the day will be at the discretion of the Convenor and Officials.

8:00am  Diver Check in & Warm up

8:50am  Opening Ceremony - Acknowledgement of Country, Prayer

9:00am  Competition begins - Event 1 & 2

10:00am  Event 3

10:45am  Event 4 & 5

12:00pm Event 6 & 7

1:00pm End of Competition
