Multi-class events implement weights
Each Diocese/Association may enter one competitor per event in 400m, Hurdles, High Jump, Long Jump, Shot Put, Discus, Javelin
Each Diocese/Association may enter one competitor per Multi-class event in Long Jump, Shot Put, 800m and Discus.
Each Diocese/Association may enter one competitor per event in Junior (12-15 years) & Senior (16 years +) Triple Jump.
Each Diocese/Association may enter two competitors in 100m, 200m, 800m, 1500m and Walk.
Each Diocese/Association may enter two competitors in the Multi-class event in the 100m & 200m events.
Additional entry requests may be made by the Diocesan/Association representative to the CSNSW Sport Manager based on event results at their Diocesan/Association carnival in the current year.
Athletes must compete in their own age group.
There is no limit to the number of events an athlete may compete in on the day. Please be aware of the program and possible clashes with events. No events will be delayed for athletes competing in events running simultaneously.
Competitors must stay in the same age group for the entire Championships.
Race walk entries will be based on a qualifying time. 15+ Boys 7:30 mins; 15+Girls 8:30 mins; 12-14 yrs Boys & Girls 8:30 mins. Start height for High Jump - Please see "Specifications".
Maximum numbers per Diocese/Association will be determined by entry eligibility – refer above
Protests in the first instance should be made verbally by the athlete to the event official of the event immediately. This should be done in a courteous manner. A written protest, if required must be made by the team manager within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the event. It should be handed to the NSWCCC Championship Manager by the Team Manager.
The NSWCCC Championship Manager will discuss the lodged protest with the technical referee and the appropriate referee. They should consider all available evidence as necessary. The referee will then make a decision and relate this to the NSWCCC Championship Manager who will notify the team manager.
Diocesan/Association teams must be entered electronically using the "Meet Manager Backup file" by the Diocesan/Association Representative and emailed to the CSNSW Sport Manager by the closing date. Date of Birth and entry time/distance must also be included.
Multi-class event entries must be included on the "Meet Manager Backup file" and must include the classification next to the surname.
Additional Entries must be submitted on the Meet Manager Backup File provided and submitted by the closing date.
No new athlete will be entered into the competition on the day of the championships.
Late changes will be accepted up until 48 hours prior to the carnival. NO additional new athletes will be entered on the day. No replacements due to injury or illness will be taken on the day. It is important to work with students so they do not withdraw from events denying other students of an opportunity to compete. All changes must be made using the appropriate change form and approved by the NSWCCC Athletics Convenor.
All competitors must wear Diocesan/Association singlets and shorts. Athletes should also display athlete number (which will be supplied by the NSWCCC Championship Manager) when competing.
The NSWCCC Championship is not a representative pathway event. Individual students can apply online to Athletics NSW to compete at the NSW All Schools Championships.

NSW Athletics will provide officials for key positions: track referee, field referee, starter, track and field officials.
Each Diocese/Association must supply one teacher officials (not including team managers) to cover all of the other positions.
Each Diocese/Association must have at least two team managers in the stands with students at all times.
Only competitors and officials are permitted in the competition arena.
Athletes should leave the competition area immediately upon the completion of their event. they should not cross the in-field area of the arena or cross the track unnecessarily in their departure.
Competitors must report to the marshalling area immediately after the event is called. It is the responsibility for team managers to help facilitate this.
Students with Disabilities
Students competing in Multi-class events must present their documentation at the meeting at 8.15am in the Grand Prix Room.
Multi-class athlete entries must be entered electronically in the Meet Manager program. Their classification MUST be entered beside their surname.
Athletes with a disability shall compete in separate boys and girls events. Places will be determined on individual performance percentage of the Australian record for their classification. The athlete with the greater percentage shall be awarded medal.
Multi-class athletes will fall into one of the following classifications – Visually Impaired (T/F 11; 12; 13); Athletes with learning difficulties (T/F 20 - 21); Cerebral Palsy (T/F 31 – 38); Ambulatory athletes (F 40; T/F 42 – 46, T/F 61 - 64); Short Stature (T/F 40 -41); Wheelchair athletes (T 51 – 54); Deaf (T/F 01); Transplant (T/F 60)

All athletes in Hurdles and High Jump events will be required to wear spikes if the track is wet. This is for the safety of all athletes. When worn the maximum length for all track events plus Long Jump and Triple Jump is 7mm. For High Jump and Javelin it is 9mm. All athletes must wear shoes on each foot at all times.
A lane draw will be based on the times submitted on meet manager. Where a competitor is absent in the marshalling area, the NSWCCC Championship Manager reserves the right to change the lane allocation for the benefit of the event.
Parents and coaches are not permitted to enter the competition arena. The competition arena is defined as the actual competition area and marshalling areas inside the fence of the Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre.
Once marshalled, no coaching of any athlete shall be permitted, with the maximum penalty being disqualification.
All athletes will be required to use starting blocks for all events up to and including 400 metres (including hurdles). This means that all competitors must use a crouch start for these events. Only starting blocks provided by the Sydney Olympic Park Authority are permitted for use.
Medals will be presented to the first three athletes in each event. The 100m, 200m and 400m events are contested as timed finals with the fastest three over all heats awarded the medals.
Age Champions will be awarded trophies to the following:
• 12 years Boys and Girls
• 13 years Boys and Girls
• 14 years Boys and Girls
• 15 years Boys and Girls
• 16 years Boys and Girls
• 17+ years Boys and Girls
• Athletes in a Multi-Class Event 12-15 Years Combined Boys and Girls
• Athletes in a Multi-Class Event 16+ Years Combined Boys and Girls
Age Champions will be determined by all events excluding relays.
