Date	NSWCCC Softball Selections Postponed Due to the current weather conditions and for the safety of all involved, the NSWCCC Softball Selections scheduled for tomorrow, 11 February 2025, has been postponed. NEW DATE: Tuesday 18 February, 2025
Eligibility	- DOB: 1 January 2007 – 31 December 2012 - Years: 8 to 12
Expression of Interest (EOI)	- A paper selection of student registrations will occur after EOI closes. - EOI Closing Date: Friday 31 January 2025, 5:00 PM - Notification: Outcome of your EOI (successful or unsuccessful) will be sent via email by 4 February 2025.
Event Information	- Venue: Cumberland Nepean Softball Centre - Time: 8:30am - 3pm - Closing Date: Friday 31 January 2025
What to Bring	- No metal cleats - Own bats, gloves, and catchers equipment (helmet, throat protector, batting helmet) - Numbered playing shirt/bib provided; players wear own playing pants - Medication (e.g., asthma inhaler) - Own strapping tape - Water bottle - Lunch
Further Representation	A NSWCCC team will advance to the NSW All Schools Softball Championships. Details in the ‘Further Representation’ tab.

Specific Rules	- All conventional rules of play from the Softball Australia Playing Rules will apply to the event. - The team appearing first in the draw will be the home side, will field first (no toss), and should occupy the 1st base dugout. - Speed between innings changes is critical, including relieving the catcher on base after two outs. - Match Points: - Win: 3 points - Draw: 2 points - Loss: 1 point - Ties on points will be resolved by countback: 1. Head-to-head results 2. Runs scored against - Batting order will follow alphabetical order and remain consistent across all games. The next batter from the previous game will lead off in the next game. - The "side away" rule will operate for 6 runs across plate. - The "3 out side away" rule will operate, but teams may bat through their entire roster. Fielding changes are allowed at any change of innings. - Additional points of relevance will be communicated before the tournament and/or by plate umpires prior to each game.
Competition Area	- Only participating players and officials are allowed in the competition area. - Parents and spectators must remain outside the fence line of the playing area at all times.
Equipment	- Equipment must comply with the rules of the ASF.
