Further Representation A NSWCPS MacKillop team will be selected to attend the NSWPSSA Tennis Championships.

Special Consideration A special consideration application for selection into a NSWCPS MacKillop Team must be lodged prior to the selection date.

The format of the day will be at the discretion of the Convener and Officials.

7:30am - 8:00am  Students arrive and are to check in directly with their team managers.

8:00am   Team managers and event officials sign in and meeting

8:10am  Students meet with team managers

8:15am  Welcome - Match Play Begins - Round Robin Format

12:30pm Team Managers Meeting / lunch

1:15pm Announcement of selected players into the team from the morning results if applicable. Other players named to remain for possible playoffs.

2:30pm Announcement of MacKillop teams

2:45pm Information and uniforms for MacKillop team members

Sun Care
Students are to use adequate sun protection, including:
- SPF15+ broad-spectrum, water-resistant sunscreen, reapplied regularly
- A hat for sun protection
Safety Considerations
  • Non-participating players must remain outside the court area during play.
  • Students must not enter other courts occupied by players while play is in progress.
  • Play is not permitted on slippery or wet surfaces. Some surfaces, such as ‘plexipave,' become slippery with minimal moisture.
  • Warm-up and cool-down are essential in preventing injury and should be included before and after all training and competition sessions.
  • Students are encouraged to consume water before and during the game to prevent dehydration. Fluid intake should be increased in hot weather.

  • Play by the rules and respect the decisions of officials and opponents.
  • Do not criticize others by word or gesture.
  • Applaud good performance from all individuals.
  • Condemn unsporting behaviour and promote respect for opponents.
  • Do not use violence in any form.
  • Respect the rights, dignity, and worth of all participants regardless of gender, ability, cultural background, or religion.
  • Place the safety and welfare of participants above all else.
  • All school sport events are alcohol and smoke-free zones.

  • Clapping good points for all players.
  • Good sportsmanship from all players.
  • Allowing officials/children to resolve on-court situations.
  • Encouraging your child in a positive and non-aggressive manner.
  • Congratulating players for playing to the best of their ability.
  • Thanking team managers and event organisers.
  • Cheering or clapping when an opponent makes a mistake.
  • Being aggressive or intimidating towards trial staff or other spectators.
  • Putting undue pressure on children or criticizing opponents.
  • Coaching children from the sidelines (verbal or physical).
  • Getting involved in line calling, score calling, or court conflicts.
  • Using derogatory language at the venue.
