The representative school sport pathway

The representative school sport pathway is open to all students, aged between 8 and 19 years of age. It offers students the opportunity to compete and progress from a school level through to international competition, commensurate with their ability.

School sport provides a representative pathway for students with disabilities in athletics, cross country and swimming. Rowing and sailing are also offered as competitive sports for secondary students.

To be eligible to participate and progress along the representative pathway in multi-class events, students with a disability must have a current sporting classification. Not all disabilities are recognised in the sport classification system for each sport.
