Rugby League Representative Pathway

SECONDARY RUGBY LEAGUE REPRESENTATIVE PATHWAY

Over the past two terms, our Secondary students have undergone a rigorous Rugby League selection process. Pathway opportunities for both boys and girls require progression through Diocesan, Metropolitan, and NSWCCC selections in U16 and U18 divisions.

We are fortunate to have CSBB staff, rich in Rugby League expertise, who enthusiastically supported the process through selections, coaching, and mentorship.

Through our ongoing collaboration with Parramatta Diocese at the Metropolitan level, our students had the chance to compete against highly skilled Rugby League players for a spot in the combined teams. The selection trials faced challenging wet weather at the end of Term 1, but were ultimately completed early this term, allowing our students to showcase their talent for selection in Metro and NSWCCC teams against top players from Northern Country, Southern Country, Sydney Catholic Schools, and Parramatta Diocese.

In the boys' pathway, those who do not secure a spot in the Metropolitan teams have an alternative opportunity—selection into the ‘Presidents’ teams, which comprise students from various dioceses who compete at the trials for further selection.
