NSWCCC Blue Awards - Wealth of Broken Bay Talent Recognised

2022 NSWCCC BLUE AWARD PRESENTATION

Congratulations to the 11 CSBB Secondary Sport students who received NSWCCC Blue or Bar Awards at the 2022 NSWCCC Award Presentation. The evening, which recognises the most talented athletes from secondary catholic schools from across NSW, was hosted by MacKillop Catholic College, Warnervale.

The culmination of the evening was the presentation of the prestigious Vince Villa Award for female (awarded to the most outstanding Catholic Secondary School Sportsperson of the year) to Stella Maris student Piper Simons. Piper had an exceptional year, gaining selection into 2 Australian Schoolgirls teams in 2022 (Rugby Sevens / Rugby League) in addition to NSWCCC Open Touch Team selection.

CSBB had 11 outstanding athletes recognised –

·Athletics - Wol Albino St Leo’s Catholic College, Wahroonga

·Baseball - Parker Robinson St Edwards College, Gosford

·Cross Country - Joseph Feather St Peter’s Catholic College Tuggerah

·Cross Country - Phillippa Quarrel Stella Maris College, Manly

·Football - Zoe Karipidis MacKillop Catholic College, Warnervale

·Rugby - Savelio Tamale St Pauls Catholic College

·Tennis - Charleigh Fay Mercy Catholic College, Chatswood

·Touch - Sebastian Plaister St Edwards College, Gosford

Our schools and staff have all played a vital role in the development of these athletes, and their achievements are due to the ongoing support and opportunities received during their K-12 experiences in CSBB education.

Another highlight of the evening for CSBB was the presentation of a NSWCCC Service Award to former BBSSSA President Amber McDonnell for her time as a member of the NSWCCC Blues Committee and NSWCCC Executive Member.

What a wealth of talent we have to celebrate within our community.
