Criteria to Nominate
Please note this is an elite pathway. These trials are for Year 5 & 6 experienced, highly talented players currently involved with league.
Some things to think about before applying. Are you registered to a Hunter junior rugby league club in 2024? Have you been playing rugby league for several years? For the 12 years, did you take part in the 11 years trials? Are you consistently one of the better players in your club side? Does your coach acknowledge your strong performances throughout the season?  Have you previously received end of year club awards such as best and fairest, best back or best forward? These are indicators that your child may be suitable to trial.

Registration Process for Diocesan Level

When a child is selected at a school level, they will be given instructions to register on the csnsw.sport website for the diocesan trial. Please ensure you complete all fields especially playing position and experience. It is important in this registration process you select the correct age division in this process i.e 11 yrs or Opens (12 yrs +).

Once registered the website will generate an email to your school principal/sport coordinator for them to approve. Your registration must be approved by your school principal before you can attend the trials. Please follow up if this is not done. If you do not meet the criteria/standard for this trial, the sport coordinator/principal will not approve your registration. To view team pack information, log into your account and go to your child’s current registrations. Click on “view registration” to see the diocesan details.

Cost

$15 per student to be paid to your school admin 1 week prior to the diocesan trial.

Please contact your school sport coordinator for any questions & further information.
