Splashes of Success at the 2024 Broken Bay Swimming Championships

What a brilliant day we had as a community at the first ever Combined Broken Bay Swimming Championships!

The Olympic venue was filled with excitement as all 50 of our affiliated Secondary and Primary schools competed at this prestigious Broken Bay selection level.

CSBB Director of Schools Mr Danny Casey attended and enjoyed his guest announcing appearance. He took the opportunity to celebrate with our teams and families and was thrilled to see the level of professionalism of our staff and the remarkable swimming prowess displayed by our students.

Congratulations to the following divisional champions –

  • Evelyn Vale (St John The Apostle, Narraweena) reigning supreme among the 8-10 Girls.
  • Cruz King (St Rose, Collaroy Plateau) proving his prowess in the 8-10 Boys division.
  • Billie Kasprowicz  (St John The Baptist, Freshwater) a force to be reckoned with among the 11 Girls.
  • Junpei Kawanishi  (St Philip Neri, Northbridge) showcasing his skills in the 11 Boys category.
  • Grace Carroll (Holy Cross, Kincumber) dazzling in the 12-13 Girls competition.
  • William Kim (Our Lady of the Rosary, Waitara) standing tall in the 12-13 Boys division.

New records were established by –

  • Lachlan Reid (Our Lady of the Rosary, Waitara) Boys 8-10 50m Multiclass Backstroke / 100m Multiclass Freestyle
